The daughter of country music star Alan Jackson was arrested early Wednesday morning.

Police said Alexandra Jane Jackson, 20, was arrested on charges of underage consumption, assault and resisting arrest.

According to the affidavit, police pulled over the car Alexandra Jackson was a passenger for tailgating and speeding at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Wedgewood Avenue. Police determined she had consumed a large amount of alcohol.

Police said when she exited the vehicle, she started making demands. They said she was angry over the traffic stop and raised her hand in an angry manner toward the officer.

Alexandra Jackson struck the officer in the chest and was then told she was going to be placed under arrest, according to police. She struck the officer again and ran to her car to try to get away.

According to police, Alexandra Jackson brought up her father's name by saying he would do anything to get her out of trouble.

Alexandra Jackson bailed out of jail just before 5 a.m. Wednesday. Her court date has been set for Sept. 23 in General Sessions Court.

Alexandra's older sister, Mattie Denise Jackson, was arrested for DUI in 2012 on 21st Avenue South and was convicted of misdemeanor reckless driving.

Alan Jackson performed last night at Station Inn.
