Nacogdoches man demands money from convenience store clerk, arrested for robbery

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police officers arrested a 42-year-old man for robbery after he allegedly went into a convenience store and demanded the clerk hand over the contents of the cash register.

Michael Lee Randolph, of Nacogdoches, is still being hold in the Nacogdoches County jail on a second-degree felony charge of robbery. No bail has been set at this time.

According to the police report, the robbery occurred between 10:50 and 10:58 a.m. Tuesday night at the Rudy's convenience store located at the intersection of the Nacogdoches loop and Center Highway. After Randolph allegedly demanded the money, he remained in the store when another customer came into the business.

The clerk used the opportunity to notify the police. When the Nacogdoches Police officers arrived on the scene, Randolph was still in the store.

The police report said no weapon was displayed, and no one was injured.

Randolph was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
