HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

An armed robber remains on the streets Friday after putting a gun in the faces of two women on Jordan Lane Thursday night just before midnight.

Huntsville Police said two women were sitting in their car when a man came up and pointed a gun at them. He told them to "give it up."

The women handed over everything valuable and were not hurt. Police said the man turned to leave and fired a shot at their back tire. Huntsville Police have not made any arrests in this case.

Madison Police Captain John Stringer said staying calm and alert in a situation like this can help lead investigators to the person responsible.

"Be a good witness for us," said Capt. Stringer. "Pay attention to the offender. Pay attention to whatever weapon they have or that they tell you they have. Look for direction of travel. Look for things that will help us be able to identify them."

Captain Stringer also reminds everyone that no item you may have is worth your life or someone else's life.
