All three teenagers involved in the fatal wreck in Rainsville Friday night were students at Section High School. The truck they were in went off the road, hit a guardrail, and crashed into a tree with enough force to split it in half. Saturday afternoon, there were still signs of the wreck, with debris still littered on the ground.

Dozens of family members and friends visited the site, where they put up a makeshift memorial to remember the lives lost. "When people drive by, I want them to look at it," said Annamarie Long. Long was devastated when she heard the news that two of her classmates were killed, and another seriously injured in the wreck.

"My best friend called me and she was crying so hard," said Long. "I said, ‘You're lying to me; why would you say that?'"

Her heart sank when she learned Jordan Hooper was among the dead. The two used to date. "He would make everybody laugh. He was just a really good person," she said.

Long said Hooper was driving down the hilly road when he lost control of his truck. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. The other two victims, Kymber McBride and Brady Carson, were taken to the hospital.

McBride later passed away. "I didn't believe it, and I just cried. I mean, what did she do to deserve that?" Jordan Davis has known McBride for years. She said this tragic wreck is a tough way to start out the school year. "It hurts because it's not something you see every day, and it makes you think about how you treat people. You don't know what they're going through and anything can happen," said Davis.

The loss of the two teens is devastating to the entire community. Classmates plan to hold a vigil for them this week. State Troopers and Rainsville Police continue to investigate the crash.
