Kurth Library ready for fall programs

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Kurth Memorial Library had a very successful summer program session.

Thursday, the library had their first fall event with story and craft time for young children. The children were focusing on their ABC's.

The library will be hosting several events over the next four months to reach out to the community.

"The mission of the library is to provide the community with the opportunity to come in and enhance their lives with ongoing education," library director lorraine simoneau said. "A lot of our programming promotes literacy with younger children and teens. it is part of our community effort."

The weekly events run through December.
