BUCKEYE, AZ (CBS5) -

Police say a man missing since Thursday when he went dirt biking has been found dead in Buckeye.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Brandon Jones said the man's concerned friends went out and found his vehicle but not him.

MCSO began searching for him about 5 a.m. Friday and his body was found about 8:30 a.m. near North Watson Road and West McDowell Road on the south end of the White Tank Mountains.

Jones said it appears the man, who was in his 50s, was killed in an accident. Authorities are investigating the cause.

His identity is not being released at this time.
