She's soft, sweet and Emily would like a home

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

This precious girl is Emily. She's a 10-month-old white and tan, domestic medium hair.

She's been at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter for about a month.

Director of Nacogdoches Animal Shelter, Jamie Shelton says, "She probably was a stray and somebody picked her up and went through O'Malley to get her spayed to help get her a home and they brought her  here because it helps. It helps the animal when they arrive here if they're already fixed and vaccinated and ready to go."

Emily is super sweet. She's so soft and staff at the shelter says she really needs a home because she's not doing very well here at the shelter.

"She's lost some weight being here," said Shelton. "It's a little bit stressful for her but she is super super sweet. She would make a great pet for anybody."

Emily gets along well with other cats and dogs. She is friendly, loves to explore and craves attention.

"She has a really good personality. She's very quiet," said Shelton. "She does like to get down and explore like every cat does but as far as being really really rowdy she's not. she seems to be very content in her cage. She loves for people to come by and pet on her."

Emily is an indoor cat and will need to be brushed frequently to maintain her pretty coat.
