Kurth Library hosting teen art event this Saturday

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The KurthMemorial Library will be hosting their first teen craft event Saturday from11:30 a.m.-13:30 p.m.

Teens will be doing an artproject called bottle cap art.

The class is free andlibrary workers say teens deserve to have a fun activity just as much as otherage groups.

"We reach out to every segment of thepopulation here in Lufkin," said Library Director Lorraine Simoneau. "We haveprograms for everyone from zero to 120, so teens are one of those groups. Teensneed to have the opportunity to come in and do some things. They need to befamiliar with the library. They need it for school, so we want them to have apositive experience when they come here."
