LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Golf teams from companies all across the U.S. were in Lufkin today for a good cause.
Brookshire Brothers held their annual fall golf tournament today at Crown Colony Country Club.
Teams were made up of vendors that supply to the company.
All the money raised will go to the company's foundation that donates to local charities that include Harold's House and the Ellen Trout Zoo.
"They are a great partner, and we feel welcomed to be here and it is just our little way to give back to their region and all they touch," said Tommy Toler, a spokesman for Berry Plastics.
Since the charitable foundation was started, the company has given just shy of $1.5 million do to local charities.
