We have lots of news for you today; check out these stories:

1. Smith County Sheriff Officials tell us that a man has been spotted lurking around a bus stop and attempting to lure a little girl into his silver minivan. It has happened more than once. Please check out the details we have so far, and join us tonight on East Texas News at 6.Our reporter Summer Dashe is on the story and will bring you more details this evening at 6 and 10.

2. We are all excited about the East Texas State Fair, aren't you? Just a little heads up...Tyler police have issued an advisory so you'll know exactly where you should expect to find traffic congestion, how to avoid it, and other helpful information.

3. A wreck occurred in front of TJC today, and several citizens, including one man who was in the car that was hit, worked together to save the driver's life. The driver had a medical condition and was unconscious, causing the wreck. Details here.


Suspects in Cherokee County burglary

4. Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is looking for assistance in identifying two suspects in a local burglary that occurred on September 11, 2013 at approximately 1:45 a.m.

5. The mother of Aaron Alexis, the man who killed 12 people in the Washington Navy Yard shooting, said Wednesday she is "glad" her son can do no more harm to anyone, and that her heart is broken.  

6. The latest Powerball jackpot is estimated at $400 million, and it's considered the nation's fifth-largest ever. Here are five things to keep in mind ahead of Wednesday night's drawing.

7. A mowing crew discovered a body on the side of Highway 79 near the Neches River Bridge in Anderson County on Tuesday. No identity has been released yet, but authorities say that at this point, no foul play is suspected.
