Beethoven is relaxed, enjoys playing outside and wants to be loved

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Say woof for Beethoven. He's a 1-year-old Lab/Golden Retriever mix.

"Those type of dogs make really good family dogs. They have a lot of energy. They like to get outside and play and swim too. We don't know how much of a swimmer Beethoven is we haven't had an opportunity to take him to any water," said Aaron Ramsey, Director of Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter.

Beethoven was brought into the shelter as a stray. He's in really good condition and he just loves to lay in your lap and get plenty of love and attention.

Beethoven has been at Kurth Memorial for several weeks. He's getting his first round of shots and is very healthy.
"He needs to find a good home where he can get out of here and find a family to connect with," said Ramsey.

Beethoven is very mild-mannered and relaxed.

"He's pretty laid back as you can tell. He's just kind of hanging out here. He loves to go out and run around in our back yard and we try to get him out as much as possible to get some energy out but very laid back I think he'd make just a great family dog," said Ramsey.
