LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police officers arrested a 34-year-old man after he allegedly forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's house, took her cell phone, and assaulted her early Monday morning.

Cedric J'vonne Freeman, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County jail on a first-degree felony charge of burglary of a habitation, and two criminal charges - criminal trespass and interference with an emergency call. Collectively, his bail has been set at $13,000.

According to the police report, Freeman forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's residence in the 2400 block of W. Frank Ave. by damaging the door. Once he was inside, he allegedly took the woman's phone to keep her from calling 911, and assaulted her by holding her down on a couch.

The police report said that a criminal trespass warning had been issued against Freeman in regard to that particular residence back in March 2010.
