Thieves attack, rob elderly woman and neighbors

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

ToledoPolice are looking for the thugs they say attacked and robbed an 89-year-oldwoman.

LarryYingling wasn't home when the thieves hit his apartment Sunday evening, but hiselderly grandmother was. The robbers punched her in the face and went throughthe apartment looking for valuables.

"Theyhit my mom," Yingling said. "Took everything. Took her purse, her jewelry box,tore up my room, her room."

Butaccording to police, Yingling's apartment was just one of three that wereviolently broken into. The suspects kicked in doors and pointed a gun at atleast one other resident. It all happened around 5:30 Sunday evening.

Policesay they have not made any arrests yet, but are making the case a top priority.

"They'vebeen out here daily asking me questions," Yingling said.

Andhe says he hopes police are able to find those responsible soon.

"Ifnot, I don't know what the heck is going to happen," he said. "Hopefully theydon't try to hit nobody else's house up."

    James Henderson's defense attorney, Stanley Sokolowski, started off the third day of court by questioning the state's witness, Investigator Bill Rulland.
