Lufkin Panthers back on TV

Posted: Updated:
LUFKIN, TX (News Release) -

InCommand Broadcasting will be filming the Lufkin Panther's home game Friday night to be televised on the City of Lufkin's Channel 15 and the city's Website.

The company recently filmed the Lufkin/Longview game and will broadcast the remaining home games. A global company, inCommand Broadcasting currently films all of Tyler/Longview and many other football games.

Lufkin ISD Superintendent Dr. LaTonya Goffney said, "In order to pay for the broadcast, I called Al Meyer, one of the first people I met when I was transitioning to Lufkin. He was willing to provide the money to broadcast the remaining games as an exclusive sponsorship for Al Meyer Ford so that we can provide the broadcast as a service to those out of town or those not able to get out and see the Lufkin Panthers."

Before the end of the school year, Lufkin Administration will request proposals for broadcasting the 2014-2015 Lufkin Panther football games and other events .
