St. Cyprian's opens new dyslexia center

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - St. Cyprians Schoolin Lufkin has always looked to meet the needs of area children dealing withdyslexia. On Tuesday, the school honored the man that started it all.

The school unveiledits brand new Father John Caskey Dyslexia Center. The center is named afterFather John Caskey, who started the school and immediately felt the need to reachout to   children with the need fortherapy.

"We were workingin a little tiny cubicles. You can see our new offices and they are four timesthe size. We have a state of the art facility," said Diana Roche, the leadtherapist at St. Cyprian's School. "We needed it. Our program has grown."

The center hopes toteach kids that even though you have dyslexia, you can still have a great life.They point to famous people like artist Andy Warhol and actor Will Smith.
