The Albany Tech Titans are gearing up for the tipoff of their basketball season.
The team opening the season with Midnight Madness Tuesday at Albany State's HPER Gymnasium.
Head coach Sylvester Patterson is entering his seventh season with the Titans, and says this might be the most athletic he's had.
ATC showed off some of that high flying ability during tonight's dunk contest.
Patterson says with all that athleticism, he hopes to put his foot on the gas this season.
"These guys can get up and down the floor. They can jump. They can run," says Patterson. "I'm really enjoying being able to push the tempo. I couldn't really do that last year. We've put in some different presses. Our goal is 80 possessions in a game, so we plan on running and gunning this year."
As for the Lady Titans, head coach Kenneth Williams says it will all come down to his team's toughness.
The Lady Titans boast several new faces this season, but Williams is excited about what they bring to the court.
He says this team could be one to watch as the season progresses.
"If you can get them to play hard, and rebound and get them to play defense, we're definitely going to be ok," Williams says. "But I think towards the end of the season, once we gel, once we mesh, we're going to be a tough team."
The teams each had a three point shooting contest as well as intrasquad scrimmages.
