Nacogdoches PD: Woman claims she was kidnapped, driven around town

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Investigators with the Nacogdoches Police Department are investigating a report that a woman was kidnapped from Starr Avenue Tuesday night and driven around town.

While the man was driving the woman around town, he allegedly touched her "in a manner she felt to be offensive."

According a press release, the woman reported the kidnapping at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. She told police that she was walking along the 1300 block of East Starr Ave. when she was approached by a black pickup.

The driver of the truck told the victim to get in, the press release stated. The woman told police that she saw a handgun in the pickup.

After the woman got into the truck, the suspect drove them around Nacogdoches for about an hour and a half. While the victim was in the pickup, the man touched her in a manner that she felt to be offensive, according to the press release.

The suspect returned the woman to the location on Starr Ave. where he picked her up and released her. No one was injured in the incident.

Last seen wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans, the suspect was described as a black man in his 20s that was approximately 6 feet tall.
