NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A federal grand jury has indicted four men accused of robbing an armored car and getting away with $180,000 in Nacogdoches in 2009.
Antonio Demond "Hobo" Sonier, Donnie Jermaine "Pissy" Daniels, Samuel Ruiz Williams and Markeith "YG" Mergerson, are each charged with Hobbs Act Conspiracy and Hobbs Act Robbery.
Three of the men have been arrested and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail already on charges of aggravated robbery. Authorities are still seeking Daniels.
The armored car was robbed at Regions Bank in downtown Nacogdoches in June 2009.
According to the indictment, Sonier recruited co-conspirartors to help rob truck employees while others served as lookouts.
Between June 5 and June 19, Sonier collected information about Loomis Armored truck's route to Nacogdoches, according to the indictment. Then on June 19, Williams and Mergerson approached the trucks while Sonier and Daniels served as lookouts. Mergerson then "used force to overtake the Loomis employee at the back of the armored truck," according to the indictment.
The indictment states Mergerson got into the back of the truck and removed one bank bag. The four then met at Williams' home in the 1200 block of Meisenheimer Street in Nacogdoches and divided the cash.
