Tyler police investigate robbery in restaurant parking lot

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Tyler police responded to a robbery Friday night in the parking lot of Taqueria Guerrero in the 2,000 block of E. Gentry. 

Police say the owner of the restaurant was walking to her car at around 9:30p.m. when she was approached by a man wearing all black. 

The woman told police he showed her a handgun and took her purse. Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot, possibly running North on Old Gladewater Highway. 

The suspect got away with an unknown amount of money. Police say the victim was not hurt. 

The suspect is described as a 5'8" stocky built male wearing all black with a black mask over his face. 

The robbery is still under investigation. 

Crimestoppers is offering $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case.
