(KLTV) - The Texas A&M Athletic Department will be selling portions of its storied football field.

The field will be removed as part of the redevelopment of Kyle Field. The pallets of grass will be sold online beginning Monday, Oct. 14 at 10a.m.

If you'd like a piece of the grass? It'll cost you $400 for 450 square feet of field. Buyers then have to pick up their grass in November.

And if your family and friends don't believe the grass is really from Aggieland, each buyer will get a certificate of authenticity and instructions on how to care for the historic grass.

The redevelopment of Kyle Field includes a new field that is being grown at an off-site location. That field will be installed before the start of the 2014 season.
