Lufkin PD: Man who stole atlas, bed frame from Goodwill donation center had drug paraphernalia

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police officers arrested a 54-year-old man early Monday morning after he allegedly stole a World Atlas book and a bed frame from the Goodwill donation center located in the 2200 block of South First Street.

Lance Montgomery Crager, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on two class C misdemeanor charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Collectively, his bail has been set at $1,000.

According to the police report, the incident happened at approximately 2:42 a.m. Monday. The report stated a Lufkin Police officer witnessed Crager steal a World Atlas book and a bed frame from the Goodwill donation center located at 2200 South First Street.

Together, the total value of the two items was estimated to be $20.

When the LPD officers searched the man's vehicle, they allegedly found a drug-smoking pipe.
