We will find out a lot about number 5 and undefeated West Sabine on Friday night, but we will also see if number 8 Alto has the pieces to make a serious run at the class 1A state title. Head coach Paul Gould's team is coming off a 40 to nothing district opening win over Cushing, but has two losses this season. Alto's defense gave up over 25 points in its first three games, but has yielded just 14 points the last three weeks combined. That along with Jacolby Whitaker and company on offense is what makes Alto so dangerous. West Sabine may be undefeated, but the Yellowjackets know they are just as talented.
Senior wide receiver D'Anthony Richards says, "I feel like we are still Alto, we the favorite in this game, its just they got an undefeated record and we don't, that's all it is. We are really amped up because we got them last year but they are coming here and want revenge, but we going to show them what's up." Trent Curtis added," I think the guys know how big of a game it is, I mean its a real big game and we just have to come out and play good."
