Our future

It's not every day that a 10-year-old would decide to swap birthday presents for charity work. But that's exactly what five Brandon Elementary students in Lufkin did. The girls asked the community to donate $1,000 to the American Cancer Society for their birthdays. And the community listened. Michelle Reed has that story at 6.

A Lufkin school has been without water since yesterday evening. A pipeline leak was noticed by a teacher Sunday at Herty Primary and crews began work immediately. At 6, Maegan Prejean found out how the school was able to adjust today without any running water.

It's been our top story all day at KTRE.com. A district judge steps down following an investigation into allegations of texting a prosecuting attorney in the middle of a trial she was presiding over. At 10, we bring you an interview with an attorney who was on the other side of the aisle during that trial.
