GROVETON, TX (KTRE) -

Almost an entire East Texas family showed up at the Groveton B&B to see one of their relatives accept a check for $100,000 from Brookshire Brothers Tuesday.

Deborah Wilson, the child nutrition director for the Groveton Independent School District, won the top prize in Brookshire Brothers "Summer of Fun" prize giveaway. She and her immediate family showed up at the Groveton B&B store for the presentation of the check.

Wilson said she still doesn't know what she how she is going to spend the money.

"I'm still in such a state of shock," Wilson said Wednesday. "I really don't know how we're going to spend the money. We're just going to pay some stuff off and make things a little easier for ourselves."

Wilson said she also plans to spend some of the money on her three grandchildren - two girls and a boy. Another grandchild, a baby girl, is expected to arrive in early December, she said.

Sally Alvis, a spokeswoman for Brookshire Brothers, said two of Wilson's grandchildren showed up for the check presentation as well. Mercedes and Gunnar were "all grins," Alvis said.

Because she wanted to make sure she had really won the big prize, Wilson only told her immediate family and the ladies in her girls card group that she won.

"It was just such a blessing," Wilson said.

The Groveton B&B is owned by Brookshire Brothers, which is headquartered in Lufkin.
