Sixty-nine years ago, a group of eighteen year olds sailed aboard the U.S.S. Bollinger into harms way.
Now five of those survivors, at the age of 87, met at a reunion in Tyler to share their memories.
Jimmy Upchurch, Joseph Stone, Robert Hogue, Bill Reynolds, and Charlie Stewart survived out of a ship of over 600 seamen.
