LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - It's not even Halloween, but one Lufkin church is already in the Christmas spirit.
First Baptist Church of Lufkin had their annual Christmas gift wrapping party Tuesday night.
The gifts will go to the Samaritan's Purse organization.
They are simple and will go to less fortunate kids all over the globe as part of the Operation Christmas Child campaign. It wasn't just adults getting into the Christmas spirit.
"They get to go around to people who really need the stuff," Joellen Pittman said.
The gifts will be going to Eastern Europe, central and South America as well as Asia. In past years the church's gifts have gone to Costa Rica.
