Trinity ISD to release students early today

TRINITY, TX (KTRE) - Trinity ISD will be releasing its students at 10 a.m. today because of a blown transformer.

Debbie Ogden, a spokeswoman for Trinity ISD said that their electric company tried to turn district's electricity back on around 7:30 a.m., and it blew a second transformer.

Trinity ISD officials don't expect the problem to be fixed before this afternoon.

Trinity ISD will have a late start Friday morning as a result of the weather. School will not get underway until until 10 a.m.
