She's got manners, talents and a cool coat

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Can we get a woof and a bark for Shiner. She's a 1-year-old Lab mix with a cool looking coat.

"The brindle color with the striping in the face is a really interesting looking dog and you know she looks really healthy. She's a little thin but she's getting good nutrition here and she'll continue to fill out but really just a sweet dog," said Director of Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter, Aaron Ramsey.

Shiner was owner surrendered to Kurth and just one look in her eyes you'll see that she's lonely and needs a family to love.

You can see Shiner has really good manners. She's just really laid back. She actually has some training. She knows how to sit and play fetch.

"She's not a real hyper-active dog of course we see quite a few of those here but she would be really good family pet with children because you can tell she's not jumping. She's saying hello but she's but she's not going to jump up and kind of jump all over you like some more hyper dogs would," said Ramsey.

Plus Kurth's adopt-a-dog month is still going on so those looking to adopt Shiner or any other shelter dog will pay a reduced adoption fee.

For more information on how to adopt Shiner, call Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter at 936-633-0218
