New leads sought in Surprise counterfeit case

SURPRISE, AZ (CBS5) -

Surprise police are looking for new clues in a counterfeit case dating back to August.

A woman tried to pay for a $320 prepaid Visa card with 16 counterfeit $20 bills at a Walgreens store at 14285 W. Grand Ave.

The suspect is described as 5'6" tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She is between 20 to 25 years old and has black hair.

She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, brown sandals and black-rimmed glasses.

Police ask people with information about the crime to call Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000, or to remain anonymous call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
