NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested two women for injury to a disabled person Thursday after they allegedly pulled a woman's hair, threw her to the ground, hit her, kicked her, and stomped on her.
Donna Belyue Samford, 54, and Destiny Dawn Belyue, 18, both of Nacogdoches, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both individuals were charged with third-degree felony injury to a disabled person, and each woman's bail was set at $15,000.
According to the arrest affidavit, the alleged assault occurred on Wednesday. Deputies responded to a report of an assault at the residence of a disabled woman. The investigation revealed that the Donna Samford, Destiny Belyue, and another suspect came to the residence and started cursing and assaulting the woman's grandson.
The victim, who was asleep at the time, woke up to the noise and commotion at approximately 2 a.m., went outside, and told the suspects to leave.
At that point, the suspects allegedly grabbed the victim by the hair and shoved her to the ground. They also dragged her, and kicked and beat her on several parts of her body, the affidavit stated. The victim was also kicked in the back and stomped on her leg and foot, "which caused serious damage to an already crippled foot."
Sheriff Jason Bridges said the third suspect is a juvenile.
