An 89-year-old woman is hurt, betrayed and feels exposed after her caretaker allegedly stole thousands from her by forging checks. The family of Lois Molandes reached out to KTRE today to explain how who they thought was a friend took advantage of her and now they're left to pick up the pieces. Michelle Reed has the story at 6.

Instead of giving gifts this year, an East Texas family has reached out to the families of the victims of the tragic shooting in Newtown. In honor of their memory, they made quilts to highlight something about the victims. But as Maegan Prejean shows you at 5, the Newtown families have decided the quilts should go to East Texans in need.

And at 10, Caleb Beames shows you how a local church is serving a woman in need.

There are teams all over East Texas playing for their playoff lives. And others looking to lock up district supremacy. It's Week 10 and the week all high-schoolers are looking forward to. We have all the highlights on The Red Zone tonight at 10:30. And of course you can get the latest updated scores at and on the KTRE mobile app.
