SABINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Sabine County authorities say they will continue their search for 28-year-old Alfred Wright of Jasper on Monday.

Sheriff Tom Maddox says Wright went missing Thursday night after his car overheated and broke down at the CL&M Liquor store on Highway 87 about 4 miles south of Hemphill.

Maddox says authorities have found the scrubs Wright was believed to have been wearing and a variety of other items in the woods.

Although there are red flags in this investigation, Maddox says foul play is not suspected at this time.

Maddox says they are systematically going through different grids and searching the woods but the terrain is tough and the search is slow going.

Officials believe he is on foot and has little, if any clothing.

Wright is described as a black male, 5' 9" tall, weighing around 170 lbs.

Authorities are urging that anyone with information please contact authorities in this active investigation.
