Old Man Winter has made an early return to East Texas, setting the stage for our first night of sub-freezing temperatures since March 27th.
With the onset of our first fall freeze, we have freeze warnings now in effect for all our counties and communities in Deep East Texas through 8am Wednesday morning.
While this will not be considered a hard freeze, you will still want to take precautions with two of the three P's of protection.
Make sure that your pets have extra blankets and a warm place to rest overnight. If you are able to bring them inside, then that would be your best bet.
In regards to your plants, please cover them up or bring them inside. This holds especially true for your tender plants and vegetation that are sensitive to the cold weather.
With forecast lows only expected to drop into the upper 20's and lower 30's, your pipes will be fine.
We will have another night of freezing temperatures on Thursday morning, before temperatures begin to gradually warm-up by the end of the week.
