Police say man accepted marijuana delivery from undercover detective

Posted: Updated:

A Nashville man is in trouble all because of something he got in the mail.

The FedEx package was delivered to 230 Rudy Circle, but the person who delivered it was not a FedEx employee - he was an undercover detective.

The detective delivered 7.9 pounds of marijuana.

Police say the suspect, Jonathan Wilson, accepted the delivery. Moments later, he was charged with a felony drug offense.

Police say Wilson had the marijuana mailed to his home.

Channel 4 has found five cases so far this year that involved drugs being sent in the mail that were intercepted by police. In one case, drugs were mailed to a nail salon. In another, warrants were served at a Nashville nightclub.
