Angelina County Sheriff's Office stepping up investigation into "Lingerie Looter"

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office is stepping up their efforts to catch the perpetrator who is stealing women's underwear in Angelina County.

Lieutenant Pete Maskunas says there have been 2 more incidents in the past 2 months.

He says they are taking this case very seriously and are asking the public to continue to report any suspicious activity or persons loitering in the Highway 58, Highway 59, FM 1818 and Airport road area.

Maskunas says this person will look like they belong in the neighborhood but they do not.

"This case has gotten to the point where we've called in assistance of some other agencies. We've contacted the Texas Rangers and we've contacted the FBI and they're assisting us with resources they have available to help us try to track down this person and bring them into custody," said Maskunas.
