NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies arrested a Nacogdoches woman after finding her boyfriend lying in a pasture after apparently being hit by a pickup Monday evening.
According to Lt. Billy Ball with the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 9900 block of US 59 South at 6:32 p.m. When they arrived, they were told Sandy Miller White, 28, had been arguing with her boyfriend. They then saw her boyfriend "laying in the prone position," according to an arrest affidavit, on the ground in a pasture.
Ball said White said she accidentally ran over her boyfriend while trying to dodge a dog. She said the brakes were out and she ran over the man with the front of her truck.
Ball said it was clear it was not an accident, as it was obvious from tire tracks that she had been spinning out.
White is charged with first-degree aggravated assault.
Ball said the man declined medical treatment.
