Amber Alert canceled after girl found in Lufkin

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

An Amber Alert issued out of Eagle Pass Thursday afternoon was canceled after law enforcement agencies found the girl and arrested a suspect Thursday night on Trout Street.

The alert issued for Yaretzi Rodriguez-Ayala, age 2 was issued around 4 p.m.

According to Lufkin police spokesman JB Smith, police assisted other agencies in trying to locate Yaretzi at 8:31 p.m. in the 500 block of Trout Street. At the home was one of the suspects, Rolando Herrera, 34, who had warrants for his arrest, Smith said.

Police also found Yaretzi at the home.

The other agencies interviewed the suspects and a Lufkin police officer took Herrera into custody on warrants for ran a stop sign and livestock/fowl minimum space/fence.

Herrera was released after paying his fines, according to Angelina County Jail records.
