LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Angelina College's Club Express started their two day event on campus Monday morning to spread awareness about bullying.
The club is made up of students in Suzi Honeywell's Business and Professional Speaking Class and they spent the morning gathering student's opinions on the subject of bullying.
While the group hasn't seen bullying on campus, they want to make sure to give students the option to speak up in case there is bullying going on behind closed doors.
"You have cyber bullying. You have home abuse or home bullying so there's so many different types that we may not see it here on campus so we still want to make kids aware that there's a need…if there's a need that they can come to us and we can get help for them in whatever form it is," Demitas Blackshire, President of Club Express, said.
Sam's Club donated water bottles and cookies for the event. The group will be outside the student center on Tuesday at 10:50 a.m.
