NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a second suspect in the Nov. 30 armed robbery of the Rudy's convenience store in Garrison Tuesday.
Jaquae Donyae Fobbs, 22, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery. No bail has been set at this time.
According to the arrest affidavit for Bagley, Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched out in reference to an aggravated robbery that had just occurred at the Rudy's convenience stor4e located at 432 U.S. Highway 59 North in Garrison.
When they arrived on the scene, the deputies learned that two black men entered the store and started yelling that it was a robbery. One of the suspects was armed with a black handgun, the affidavit stated.
The two suspects allegedly got away with $450 in cash and the wallet of one of the victims.
Later that day, a Nacogdoches Police officer stopped a 2002 Buick Park Avenue on North Street. When the officer made contact with the four people in the car, he found a wallet on Fobbs' co-defendant Gakavion Bagley that tied him to the robbery, the affidavit stated. It contained a Social Security card with the name of the man whose billfold was stolen during the Rudy's robbery.
The police officers also found a small, black semiautomatic pistol wedged in the seat next to Bagley.
When Nacogdoches Police officers interviewed two of the men in the car, they identified Bagley and Fobbs as the two suspects in the store's surveillance video footage. In addition, Bagley told police that Fobbs was involved in the robbery as well.
