Ole Miss travels to K-State for Big 12/SEC Challenge

(RNN) - Defending SEC Tournament champ Ole Miss travels to Kansas State (4-3) for the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET. The clash between Ole Miss' offensive playmakers and K-State's tough defense will be televised on ESPN 2.

The Rebels are off to a 6-0 start and a win would give them the best start to a season since they went 13-0 in 2007-2008.

The Rebels are shooting 44.3 percent from the floor and outscoring opponents more than 15 points per game. The Rebels are led by a trio of consistent scorersL Jarvis Summers is averaging 15.7 points, Derrick Millinghouse, 15.3 and Marshall Henderson, 15.2.

They most recently beat Georgia Tech, 77-67 and Penn State 79-76 to win the Barclays Classic in Brooklyn.

Kansas State is coming off a 33-point win over Central Arkansas. The Wildcats have sputtered on offense at times, but are playing top-notch defense, allowing opponents 62 points per game. Marcus Foster is the leading scorer averaging a little more than 13 points per game.
