PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Southwest Airlines flight that departed Phoenix landed safely in Los Angeles after it blew a tire Friday morning.

The 127 passengers and five crew members of Southwest Flight 1641 were unharmed during the landing and were driven by bus to Southwest's Terminal 1 facility at Los Angeles International Airport, said Michelle Agnew of Southwest Airlines.

Agnew said the aircraft are designed with redundant tires and pilots are trained to deal with landings involving blowouts.

She said passengers continuing to Chicago Midway Airport were put on another aircraft.
