LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ (AP) -

An Arizona elementary teacher is facing drug charges after Lake Havasu City police say she was selling prescription pills.

The News-Herald reports that Stefanie Courson was arrested Friday following a month-long undercover operation.

Authorities said that an undercover detective bought Xanax and Morphine pills from Courson on several occasions.

The 42-year-old Courson was charged with the sale of dangerous drugs, sale of narcotic drugs, sale of prescription only drugs, and possession of prescription only drugs.

Officials say Courson is a kindergarten teacher at Havasupai Elementary School in Lake Havasu City.

Also arrested was 43-year-old Michael Stucker. He is facing a number of drug charges.

Courson and Stucker are at the Lake Havasu City jail pending their initial appearances.

It was not known if either had attorneys.
