PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 19-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Monday and booked into jail on suspicion of armed robbery and first-degree murder after a neighbor was found stabbed to death Sunday.

Angel Ramario Amaya is accused of killing Joseph Chandler, according to a court document.

Chandler's body was found on his bed with a stab wound to his chest, according to a court document.

Amaya gave police conflicting reports about the incident, and initially denied being with Chandler. He later told police he and Chandler were at Chandler's residence, according to the document.

He said he began to walk home and saw Chandler, who he accused of being drunk, go into his home and walk back out with a Kindle Fire and toward a nearby business to use the Wi-Fi .

He told police he did not hurt Chandler and didn't take any property, according to the document.

Amaya did tell police that he believed Chandler's mother stole $200 from him in the past, that he never got the money back and was still angry, according to the document.

Police later executed a search warrant and recovered the Kindle Fire underneath a drawer in Amaya's bedroom and found Chandler's wallet among clothes in a duffel bag.

Amaya refused to talk to police after the evidence was found, according to the document.

More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
