Lufkin Toys for Tots benefit concert this weekend at Walmart

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

The Marine Corps League of Lufkin is busy collecting toys and gearing up for their annual Toys for Tots benefit concert.

You can't miss the big white tent in the Walmart parking lot where the marines will be collecting donations of money and toys Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14.

Both days there will be musical entertainment for your enjoyment.

You can walk up or drive through and drop off your donation and help East Texas children have a Merry Christmas.

Lufkin Toys for Tots coordinator, Brian Crews says donation numbers have been struggling this year.

"We've had some sizable donations come in the past couple days and we received a truck load of toys today for the older children which is going to help tremendously but we still have a large number of requests coming in we have several agencies that will be asking for help come Monday so everything is appreciated and everything is greatly needed," Crews.
