Have a merry clean and green Christmas by recycling this holiday season

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

With all the holiday festivities approaching that means there will be a lot more waste coming into the community and you can do your part by recycling.

Angelina Beautiful Clean and the City of Lufkin have plenty of convenient ways to be green this holiday season

You can recycle:

Wrapping paper, cardboard, plastic and paper. If you're in the Lufkin city limits, you can put your recyclables curbside. In the county, you can take them to the recycling center on College Drive.

Cooking oil can be recycled by dropping it off during business hours (only) at the recycling center.

Live Christmas trees can be put out on the curb for recycling if you're in the city limits and taken to the recycling center and dropped in the live tree dumpster.

Greeting cards and holiday cards can be recycled in the blue bins located at all Angelina County Brookshire Brothers and Commercial bank

"It's the Christmas season. Lots of parties so that brings some extra waste into our community so Angelina Beautiful Clean and the City of Lufkin we try to provide those resources for you to have a merry clean and green Christmas," said director of Angelina Beautiful Clean, Amanda Anderson.
