Police said they believe a homicide victim's body found in a southwest Phoenix farm field Wednesday morning was left there intentionally.
The man's body was found about 6:30 a.m. in the field near 59th Avenue and Broadway Road by a passer-by, Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said.
He said trauma to the body led detectives to believe the body was intentionally placed there.
Thompson said police had interviewed and canvassed the neighborhood, but were withholding specifics about the investigation.
No other information was immediately available.
