FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office K-9 units have already had a busy holiday season, and Monday a drug-sniffing dog helped deputies nab two 18-year-old Mesa residents on drug charges.

Angelica Reynoza and Joel Orozco were in a 2005 passenger car driven by Reynoza that was stopped on Interstate 10 near Eloy for a traffic violation about 10:40 a.m.

The dog sniffed the vehicle and honed in on the center console, where a deputy found 9 grams of marijuana individually packaged. A glass pipe was found under a blanket.

Reynoza was booked into the Pinal County Jail for transportation of marijuana for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Orozco was booked into the Pinal County Jail for transportation of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
