Santa Claus and the Grinch travel to Nacogdoches to support Salvation Army

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Even though the Grinch's heart is two sizes too small, he teamed up with Santa Claus on Tuesday to do some good in the community.

Kris Kringle and the Grinch participated in the Nacogdoches Salvation Army's ring-a-thon at Walmart to help raise money for the Red Kettle Campaign.

But even though Santa and the Grinch were trying to be nice, they still have some friendly competititon.

"I'm trying to be a little nice right now. But most of the time I'm a mean kind of guy," the Grinch said.

"He can't stand to be positive. He doesn't know that I'm getting more people, but he's got that old, sour attitude like a Grinch does," Santa Claus said.

People entering and exiting the store were having a great time and Salvation Army representatives said Santa blew the Grinch out of the water.
