Nacogdoches man allegedly forces way into home, assaults residents

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man was arrested on a felony burglary charge Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly kicked a partially open door and fought with two occupants of a home in the 100 block of Upton Street.

Scott E. Hamilton is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony charge of burglary of a habitation. No bail has been set at this time.

According to the police report, Hamilton allegedly kicked a partially open door at the Upton Street residence between 10:15 and 10:26 p.m. Tuesday. He got into a brief struggle and allegedly assaulted two of the occupants of the residence.
