Recycling Program Wins National Award

Congratulations go out to the Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful Youth Advisory Council. It's received national recognition for a recycling program.

The council earned second place in a Keep America Beautiful national competition for its waste reduction program. The students launched a partnership between schools, the community and Abitibi.

Abitibi pays for each truckload of paper collected. The money is then divided among the participating schools.

Some council representatives will go to Washington D.C. to receive the award.
